Player Profile Fraserburgh’s Scott Barbour

This is the first post in the player profiles series where I ask a Highland League player a couple of questions and give background information on them. This week I take a look at Scott Barbour who plays for  Fraserburgh.

Barbour is a young talented player who has been unbelievable for the Broch this season. As he has bagged lots of goals for the Aberdeenshire side who have finished fifth place in the league table.

With the team moving up a place from last season’s position .He has won the Scottish Highland League young player of year in the last two seasons and looks set to win the award for third time in this campaign as he has stood out this year.

The forward has played in the Scottish Cup many times for this team and featured in the squad which upset Third Division side Montrose. He was even in my Highland League team of the season which I reckon he was very happy with.

Scott Barbour spoke to the Scottish Fitba Base exclusively and here are his answers to my questions.

Whats your highlight of this season? =  The best highlight was the Scottish Cup run in this season.

Whats your aim for next season? =   As a team our aim to hopefully challenge for the league title next season and me it’s to maybe score 40 goals.

Whats the best goal you have scored? =   My best goal this season was when we played at home to Turriff United in the league. It was when a Ball played through just outside the box found me and I hit it into the top right corner.
