Fort William’s Iain Foggo Interview

Fort William’s Iain Foggo made his Highland League senior debut at the youthful age of 16. He is a standout  at a club who thoroughly deserve to be battling it higher up the Highland League table as they work their socks off and not bottom of the league table.

This team doesn’t have loads of money to splash on players unlike clubs like Brora Rangers, Nairn County and Formartine United who can throw money at players for fun.

Everytime  I watch Fort William from the word go they always attack quite well and cause teams some sort of problems. A team you can’t afford to undermine at any time or they will punish you for not respecting them enough.

I spoke exclusively to Foggo to discuss his highlights of the season past and his aims for the season ahead.

Sean: What has been your highlight of the season?

Iain: My highlight was scoring my first ever goal for Fort William which was the winner against Keith. Also making my 150th highland league appearance.

Sean: What has been the best game which you were involved in?

Iain: The 3-2 victory against Keith was also the best game I’ve been involved in this season.

Sean: Finally what’s your aim for next season?

Iain: My aim for next season is to hopefully to keep progressing as a team and to maybe break away from the bottom 2/3 teams of the league.

Sean: Thanks for answering my questions Iain and all the best with your football career.
