Clachnacuddin were crowned Breedon Aggregates Highland league cup winners at Kynoch Park on Saturday as they defeated Buckie Thistle in a penalty shootout.

Dangerman Paul Brindle caused the Jags lots of problems and he also bagged two goals in this match. He thinks the first goal he scored was most important goal he has ever scored.

“I wouldn’t say my best ever finish, but it was a good finish and probably the most important goal – along with the 3rd.

The lively Clach support were out in force at the ground and began big celebrations at the end by invading the pitch.

The 22 year old said, “The supporters were amazing, they have been all season and are always 110% behind us. They definitely helped spur us on in the final and this win was definitely for the fans. “To celebrate we all went back to Inverness and partied there with the fans.

With Clach going through some bad times as they went in administration in 2009 this was a massive achievement for the club. “It was a great feeling – the best I’ve had in football. Knowing how much it meant to everyone connected with the club made it extra special. He feels proud to play for Clachnacuddin. ” As players we are privileged to pull on the shirt every week and play for such a great club. Hopefully this is the start of a bright future for the club.

An exciting talented player who shone on the pitch along with his team mates who all showed great character to keep on going despite Buckie getting leveled with them. You have chance to vote for him in the Scottish Fitball Base Highland  League awards 2014  for the young player of year.
