Aberdeenshire Shield final preview between Fraserburgh and Turriff United

Tomorrow Princess Royal Park will play hosts for the Aberdeenshire Shield final which will be contested between Fraserburgh and Turriff United. The Broch‘s new boss Mark Cowie will be trying to win his first ever trophy in the hot seat at the club. He travels to Banff with a squad which has no injury worries or players suspended. Fraserburgh have won more Aberdeenshire Shields than any other club who has competed in the competition.

While Turriff United go into the final missing key players such as top scorer and player of the year Gary McGowan along with Chris Herd due to being suspended. Jamie Beagrie and Lesek Nowosielski miss through work commitments. There is also a major doubt whether Paul Young will be able to make the final. Manager Ross Jack will hope his side deliveries on the day and ends off a successful season with a trophy in their hands.

From my point of view I think it’s going to be an extremely close with both sides wanting to keep the ball down on the deck and play football which is entertaining for the spectators. I would be stupid to try to prediction this encounter. I hope it’s a high scoring game and look forward in experiencing a superb atmosphere at the match.

May the best team win tomorrow. Anyone who is attending the game hope you enjoy it. This will certainly be a good advertisement for how great the Highland League and why more people should go to games in this league.
