Keith’s Manager Gordon Winton happy with side’s 1-0 win over Fort William

Keith boss Gordon Winton was happy with the victory but disappointed that his side didn’t win by two or three goals after seeing his side get back to winning ways against Fort William following defeats to Formartine United and Nairn County.

Winton saw his side beat Fort William thanks to a second half goal by Kris Duncan in horrible weather conditions at Kynoch Park and was happy with the clean sheet.

Winton said: “The conditions didn’t really it being a great game. I said at half time the last 15 minutes of that first half we started to keep the ball on the deck and open them up quite a bit. But didn’t capable on some of the chances we had.

“In the second half the wind dictated that we would stay in their half which we did and just disappointed we didn’t get more goal than we did.

“A clean sheet is what we said we would try to get before we started. It was good around team performance and the defence obviously kept the clean sheet.Everyone in the defence and middle of the park were working hard to keep that clean sheet.

“We did open them up a few times and should have taken advantage of some of the opportunities we did get. It’s just makes it a bit nervous by the end of the game if you haven’t taken two or three chances. “I think everyone played well”.

Winton was speaking to reporter Sean McAngus after his side won 1-0 over Fort William.  Listen to the interview below:
