Forres manager Charlie Rowley was delighted with his side beating Keith

Forres Mechanics manager Charlie Rowley was delighted with his side grabbing all three points over Keith in a 2-0 victory thanks to first half goals from Liam Baxter and Dachi Khutsishvili.

Regardless of a performance he felt was miles off from their spectacular display in Wednesday night’s 6-2 win against Buckie Thistle. The Can Cans completed their fifth straight league victory on Saturday at Mosset Park.

Rowley told Scottish Fitba Base “Delighted with the three points. Performance wise miles from obviously Wednesday’s performance. I thought we looked really leggy and tired. Maybe that was down to playing a really high tempo game against Buckie and ten men for a twenty-minute period. We got off to a great start today and that gave us the platform to win the game.

“Mikey had nothing to do in terms of making saves so our defending performance was solid enough to come through the game reasonably comfortable. I thought our back four stood out. Drew came in and had a fine game at right back so he did well. But I think our back four as a whole looked comfortable.

There wasn’t any staring performances it more about a team effort and digging in. So we have done that and just delighted with the three points”.
