John Sheran:focused on getting the three points

Cove Rangers manager John Sheran insists that his side were only focused on getting the victory as they won 3-1 over Forres Mechanics at North Lodge Park.

Goals from Eric Watson, Daryl Nicol and Blair Yule wrapped up all three points for the Wee Rangers. Despite the Can Cans having a positive performance and sub Liam Baxter getting on the scoresheet.

Sheran said: “I think before the game we were only focused on getting three points. Three good goals got us the points.Second half was kind of non event from us.

“But the guys were pretty tired from Wednesday night. Just delighted with the three points.”

He felt it was an overall good team performance from his side. But admits his players got tired in the second half.

Sheran added: The first half was a really good team performance. But second half we dropped the tempo a bit. You could see the guys were tired but just good team performance.”

Sheran was speaking to reporter Sean McAngus after his side beat Forres Mechanics 3-1 on Saturday. Listen to the interview below:
