Cove celebrate title win

Les Fridge has resigned as Nairn County manager following major change at Station Park with chairman Peter A Mackintosh and director Michael Mackintosh handing in their resignations which comes into effect May 31st. As well as top striker Conor Gethins leaving in the summer.

The future of the club will be discussed by shareholders at an emergency General Meeting on Tuesday 31st May. Along with fans setting up a fundraising page for the club.

Fridge said: “After 12 years as Manager of Nairn County Football Club, I have agreed to step down. “With the departure of the chairman Peter Mackintosh and the main sponsor Narden, I feel it is time for change and a clean sweep to allow someone else to come in and take the club forward.”

Huntly midfielder Alex Thoirs who was jetting off on his stag do with his pals were thrown off a flight from Glasgow to Majorca due to trouble breaking out on board the EasyJet plane.

On Sunday Clach legend Gordon Morrison had an emotional testimonial match against Rangers Legends which included Andy Goram as he hung up his boots.
